Fashion Advice
04.29.05 (11:12 am) [edit]
This is for all the ladies out there, because none of the guys who read this have fashion sense (But feel free to pretend that you do and leave a comment): I have a pair of jeans that I bought like 2 months ago. They have since become high waters and uncomfortable as pants. So I came up with the genious plan to make them shorts. But are jean shorts still in? What is hip? Can you tell me? (ToP)
The operation is planned for sometime next week, so please stop me if I should. If jean shorts are kosher though, should I go for the raggedy-edge shorts, the cuff, The super-cuff, or just plain "jeans with a haircut?"
Quite the moral conundrum, I know. I just hope Tom DeLay doesn't get involved and try to prolong the life of these jeans.

Hmm...I don't see guys wearing jean shorts very often.
If you do decide to make your jeans into shorts, I suggest cutting them really, really, really short ... so short that the pockets in the front stick out :-) And no hemming!

I'm sorry Ike, it's a good thing you asked, because jean shorts were out with the horrible early 90's. Not in anymore. Please save yourself, and don't revert to the horrible early 90's! I pretend not to be a fashion connoisseur, but I do pay attention. :p

Yeah I don't think they're in anymore...what kira said. Anyway, it might look ok if the pants are REALLY REALLY baggy, and then you can be a gangsta w/ long jean shorts and a phillies cap w/ a flat brim all turned on sideways and an xxl tee shirt, but I don't think that's the look you're going for.

No to jean shorts! Also, next time to prevent jean shrinkage, wash in cold, or buy jeans that are a little long.

no jean shorts..give to charity. Even for girls, homemade jean shorts look tacky, unless they are professional hemmed, or are store bought with it hemmed. Sorry.

And once again, I have proven that I have no fashion sense: I posted this to just reaffirm that I was going to be doing the right thing by salvaging this pair of jeans. Now I have steered away from the DARK SIDE of the Denim.
