Caution: Men Working
02.23.05 (8:33 am) [edit]
As you can tell, I'm trying to spiff up the site a bit. I'm not as technically advanced as most, so bear with me. I'm still trying to figure out how I can post pictures or at least have a photo album on the side. Anyone have any pointers?
I'm sorry I ever doubted Mother Nature. The snow up at Stevens was absolutely wonderful last weekend. There wasn't any powder left but at least there was a nice, fast, corduroy (sp?) groom. (The kind that you can hear and feel when you carve.) And it is staying cold enough that the snow isn't going to melt as fast as I thought it would. Stevens already has a Big Air competition planned for this Saturday, so it looks like I'll get at least one more weekend of mountain bliss.
Just to build the suspense about my Spring Break plans: I have to go get a passport picture taken today and send in my passport application by the end of the week. The form says that normal application proceedure takes 4-6 weeks (time that I don't want to risk; Spring Break is in 4 weeks) but they offer a speed processing that only takes 3 days and costs an extra $60. Oh well, I don't care about the money anymore. I just want to GO!

I had another friend recommend that site too so I just signed up. So would I link to that site so people can see my pics there or is there a way I can post those pictures in my blog?

When you go to post there is a button that says insert image just put the url, which you will find on the photobucket page and you picture will show up. And then you can put a link to it and as long as it isn't passworded then i think everyone can look at them, but i am not for sure :)

Ike, I'm too lazy to do math. What are the dates of your spring break? I get to come home for mine, and it would be kind of a bummer if we couldn't hang out. But, I'd probably just go to my nappin' couch, and be cool. But, its the thought that counts, or something like that.

Hey Ike, where did you go to get your passport pics? And I also am getting my passport soon, and I heard that if you go to the Seattle office, by appt. you can get a passport faster, http://travel.state.gov/passport/about/agencies/agencies_901.html
or at least if you need it sooner than that..........

Where are you going!!??? I'm hanging here in suspense!!!! I'm extremely jealous, i mean even if you are using it just to go to Canada, thats better than me sitting at home to yard work for my grandparents! Haha! Glad to hear the snow was good, i was at baker last weekend, but didn't go cuz there were too many rocks and i didn't want to ruin the ski's, so it looks like this will be the first season of my life that i didn't hit the slopes. :-(

p.s. Rick Steves is awesome!!!

Cassie-People don't get Passports just to go to Canada. Getting into Canada is as easy as telling them you're going to spend money.
Isaac-Spring break prediction: Mission to Central/South America. Second prediction in case that one's wrong: Siberia.

obviously you don't need a passport to get into canada, i live 45 minutes from the border, but i'm just saying its better than spending spring break at home.

Ahhh yes the snow was great that day, I got to enjoy the snow with Ike that day. My board is in sad shape but I'm pretty sure the free ticket was worth it anyways.
