After recieving many comments, I believe I owe everyone a real post.

I've been kind of tired lately. I found a liking to afternoon naps--a half-hour nap feels great--and I don't really feel like doing anything extremely physical. I should be training for the upcoming snowboard season, but napping is easier.

I blame it on the changing of seasons. I've done a bit of research specifically on the effect Winter has on a person--Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Here's the way it works: There are fewer hours of daylight in the winter. Sunlight helps your body make seratonin, a chemical that controls the parts of your brain that affect emotions , sleep, and appetite. Eventhough this isn't a national epidemic, i believe many people still feel some physical symptoms of wintertime.

For instance, do you ever wonder why tons of sweet cookies and pies and fudge appear just for Christmas? Because your seratonin levels are low and your bady craves carbohydrates. So there's a little science lesson for today.

So enjoy the changing of seasons and watch out for nap attacks.
