Ok, so it's been awhile. I got tired of posting and I was just plain tired. This quarter has been pretty busy so far...and it's only week 4. But enough of my complaining. Here's the good stuff you all want to know:

I had another weekend of Utimate in Burlington, this time it was for Sectionals (the start of the UPA college tournament). My team didn't win any games, but I think I played the best I have all year. And all that matters is that I was playing Ultimate. "A bad day of Ultimate beats a good day at school." It's kind of like that phrase "a bad day skiing on the mountain beats a good day anywhere else." Just don't ask me if a good day of Ultimate beats a bad day of skiing because frankly, I just don't know. Perhaps if I could play Ultimate on the mountain....

This just in: I have officially decided on my summer plans. And it doesn't included Camp. It also doens't involve working in Alaska. And it certainly does not have anything to do translating the Book of Judas, although I am interested to see what comes out of that. The Official Summer Plan is even weirder than that....and it looks like this:
1) take summer classes
2) get a job on the Western Front (campus newspaper)
3) play as much Summer League Ultimate as humanly possible
4) turn 21 on July 13th
5) not wear socks, unless I'm playing Ultimate

Summer Classes? What am I thinking? I don't know, but it just feels right. I'm actually excited to stay in Bellingham over the summer; this is my kind of town and I hear it's a fun place to be when 10,000 college students leave. And I hear that there is especially nice weather for ULTIMATE! (Am I a bit obsessed with Ultimate? Yes. Actually......yes.)

For those of you who will be returning to the far corner of the galaxy and wish to do something crazy this summer, do not fret. I will still be available for all your crazy adventure needs. Summer session is short (~6/7 weeks) and I will always have the weekends.

Ike -- "I can't believe I'm actually going to take summer classes. It feels like I'm in trouble or something."
