Winter, please come sooner
Can you feel it? It's getting colder. (I love it!) I got to be the typical PNW college student this week: I got caught in the rain wearing hiking socks and Chaco's; thankfully I was wearing a black soft-shell jacket so I stayed rather dry; and I escaped into the library and checked out a laptop with wireless and found a comfy couch on which to check my e-mail. To bad I wasn't drinking a coffee to complete the ultimate Seattle-ite picture. (But I do drive a Subaru.)
Speaking of my Subaru, I drove it up to the local movie theater in the mall to see the new Wallace and Grommit movie yesterday. Do yourself a favor and go see this movie; it's classic Wallace and Grommit humor. If I wasn't already busy tonight I'd go see it again. But in this technological age I can just wait until Christmas and there will probably be a boxed set of all the W & G films. (Santa, I know it's pretty early for a Wish List, but please put this on mine. I've been a good student this year.)
Speaking of Santa (and winter and snow), I have caught The Fever. No, not Red Fever. No, not the one you get from living in the dorms. The SNOW Fever. I want snow and I want it now. I made it all summer without longing for that feeling of floating in the Steep and Deep, but that just means that it hit me harder when I finally got it. So don't come too close to me or you catch The Fever too. (If you do, then can I bum a ride up to the slopes?)

You didn't bring your snowboard in the first place? What are you, some sort of Liberal Arts Major? Get yourself together man! You're an Outdoor Major now! You've got to be prepared for the one snow day when there is soooo much snow in the mountains that going to class would be considered a sin.

So I was thinking, we might actually be in somewhat of the same location for a good part of winter break...How's about we hit up everything: Stevens, Baker, and maybe some backcountry and winter alpine stuff too? Maybe? Please!!!! BTW, you gave me the bug and now I can't stop thinking about snow.
