The boys are back in town

05.24.05 (6:24 pm)   [edit]

Wow. What a weekend. Now that everyone is back in town the only thing we can do is hang out at Will's and visit our favorite local grocery store: Haggen's.

So Friday I went to Will's party; 2 hours of sleep. On Saturday Will and I went river rafting; the Wenatchee river is SWEET! 12 hours of sleep. Sunday was spent in the office making my newspaper look pretty, then I met Keith and Scott at Haggen's and decided to play Urban Golf. (tennis balls, golf clubs, middle school campus, the light of the full moon.) Forgot to set alarm; 6 hours of sleep.

Do you really need sleep in order to Rock the Casbah?

Computers hate me

05.18.05 (6:31 pm)   [edit]

So I've tried to post a few random things here and there in the past week or so, but computers hate me. And I think Tblog hates. They're a bunch of communists who are probably going to drop kick my blog for saying so. Or the FBI will investigate my "unpatriotic" posts and see my ticket stub to opening night of Stars Wars Episode III and throw me in jail.

So, let's see, what have I done in the past week that's legal to talk about.... I had an adventure with Scott up in Darrington. Hiking and climbing and driving the old Subaru wagon through dry creek beds. Best weekend I've had in a long time.

And then Scott and I got to see Alan Hoffmann before anyone else! S and I were at Haggen's planning Operation TK DROP (TK=Thomas Kemper root beer) and who should show up, right off the freeway, but Alan himself. So Operation TK DROP got canceled and Operation TK OPEN commenced while Alan got over his recent operation.

Quick change of subject: it's raining and I LOVE it! That's right, I heart the rain. I'm such a Washingtonian. (I also wear socks and sandals and hug trees and vote mostly Democrat.)

Back to fun stuff. I get to go river rafting this weekend. YES! Will and I and others from Edmonds CC will be floating down the Wenatchee River in 70 degree weather. Now you can all be jealous.

So maybe when computers, Tblog, and George Bush stop hating me I'll get to put some more pictures up on my photobucket album (see link on left). I just got my last roll of France pictures developed and I have photo evidence of Scott and I vagabonding in Darrington.

Rivieria Paradise is the best song of the whiole entire existence of this week. For 1 million space bucks, who sang it?

I don't like complaining

05.09.05 (6:50 pm)   [edit]

I'm ready for something new. I'm ready to leave Edmonds CC in the dust. I'm actually sick of The Review--the student newspaper I've spent the last two years working on. (So sick of it that I'm not even going to start ranting about it becuase I don't want to talk about it.) I'm ready see places outside of Lake Stevens.

I'm ready to go hiking. I'm ready to go on a date (first time in a long time). I'm ready to play Ultimate Frisbee. I'm ready to wear sandals. I'm ready for camp (K by the lake).

What are you ready for?

Friday requests?

05.06.05 (12:00 pm)   [edit]
Once again, Friday has happened. I slept in, I didn't shower, my hair is messy, I skipped math to go "roll a fat one" at Taco del Mar, and I'm posting to this waste of time website rather than working. Ahhhh, fridays.....

So in keeping with the trend that I'm trying to start everyother friday, I will taking any musical comments related to me playing songs on my cardboard box with strings. Examples include: song lyrics, current songs I should learn to play, song topics, specific riffs, a key that turns you on, a certain chords that makes all the animals nearby go crazy, the name of a ukelele band, your mom's favorite soup recope, etc.

Live long and prosper,
Ike the guitarist wannabe
