Fashion Advice
The operation is planned for sometime next week, so please stop me if I should. If jean shorts are kosher though, should I go for the raggedy-edge shorts, the cuff, The super-cuff, or just plain "jeans with a haircut?"
Quite the moral conundrum, I know. I just hope Tom DeLay doesn't get involved and try to prolong the life of these jeans.

Wednesday
Even though today is still technically Tuesday, I'm going to write about Wednesday. I like Wednesdays. Wednesdays always have a good feel to them. Wednesdays say: "It's not that bad." And then you smile and nod because it really isn't that bad.
Wednesday: the other other day
In other news, the first newspaper of the quarter came out today and it looks pretty good. I'm talking with our website guy to see if we can get pages up on the internet. Then you too can say: "It's not that bad."
"Don't wake me I plan on sleeping in"

All Request Friday Nights
"Good evening and welcome to Ike Show, where I get to do whatever I want and have it published on the internet. There's a great show lined up tonight, but first of all I'd like you all to give a big round of appluase for Will Trimble! He's a longtime friend of mine and has recently succumbed to the blogging craze. Check him out in the links over there <<<<.
Now, on to business. As you know, I thoroughly enjoy playing the guitar. But I have a dilema: I don't know what to play. I've run into lyrics-block and musical-block. So, Friday nights are now ALL REQUESTS. If you have a line, phrase, poem you think would sound cool to music, then leave it as a comment.
If there's a rad song out there you think I should learn, post is as a comment.
If you think I should write a song about a certain subject, let me know.
This is Ike, signing off.
And I lived happily ever after...
I just got great news: I'm going to Western next year! Booyah! Do a little dance...now do a big dance! I wish I could dance...maybe I'll take a dancing class, AT WESTERN!

And they lived happily ever after
Long story short, Heather had a bumpy ride in a Ski Patrol sled and a bumpy ride down the mountain in my Subaru. Will and I got to hang out in the Monroe General Hospital waiting room while the doctors told Heather that she tore the rotator cuff in her shoulder.
Not quite the way I wanted to end the season, especially since the rainbow rail was up for the first time all season. Oh well. At least i didn't tear my rotator cuff.
Now I'm just waiting for the rain to stop so I can go try out my new tent.
The reason I'm here, snow, the reason I'm here, running water...

spring classes
I love Spring Quarter: campus looks nice, trees are green, people hang out all over the place, people play guitar in grass, classes are kind of laid back. Well, at least my classes are laid back. I have Spanish 103, Guitar 213, Math 132, and Indepent Study Journalism. Nothing too serious.
It's going to be a rather enjoyable quarter. Especially since none of these classes are going to require much work on the weekends. So besides a few weekends at the newspaper, I can actually plan some fun weekends. To do this, I enlisted the help of Mountain Hardware, the ever-trusty outdoor equipment company. They were kind enough to let me purchase one of their wonderfully built two person backpacking tents -- the PCT 2 to be precise. Weekend problem solved (if you know what I mean). Want to come along? Send me an e-mail.
Now all I need is a Paul Simon CD, but not many places carry his stuff.
